I made a decision to take myself out because “If I don’t, who will?” And for all it’s worth, guys are the ones expected to do the planning and pay the bills so instead of spending so much trying to plan a date, let me go be with myself and I and this led me to a solo data at Chia Cafe located at 3 Cairo Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja.
From the moment I got in, I knew this location wasn’t just one of those places that Abuja people hype – Chia Cafe is beautiful, cosy, and calm and if you are anything like me, someone who loves to just sit with their thought, sip a cup of coffee, and enjoy some time alone, then this is a location that gives you exactly that.
I am seated here at Chia Cafe writing this review as you will see in the photo below.
This is actually a perfect location for brunch dates, coffee dates, and of course solo dates – if you do not have a problem with being alone why not?

What I ordered at Chia Cafe Abuja
Now, a cafe can be beautiful and still give you food that will make you regret leaving your house and because I did not come here to only admire the place, I ordered the egg and avocado toast and I cannot even lie to you, this was a solid 10/10 for me.
Everything about the meal worked and it is easily one of the better egg and avocado toast in Abuja that I have tried recently.
I also ordered the Morning Kick drink and on a normal day, this is not something I will personally order but today was a day for trying new things and surprisingly, it was too good.
The calorie-counted menu at Chia Cafe
Another thing I noticed was seeing the calorie count written beside every meal on the menu because as a proper gym bro and someone who tries to know what is entering his body, this is a detail that means a lot to me.
You do not have to finish eating and then enter one fitness app to start doing mathematics because the information is already there and it makes tracking your meals a lot easier which is why I will put Chia Cafe among the fitness-friendly restaurants in Abuja.
And if you are checking for a calorie-counted menu in Abuja or healthy restaurants in Abuja where you can still eat something nice and have a good timeout, Chia Cafe is one of the places you should consider.
Customer service at Chia Cafe
Let me also talk about the customer service because a beautiful cafe with bad customer service can still ruin your day and nobody wants to pay money only to start begging someone to attend to them.
The customer service during my visit was really good and this made the experience even better because I was attended to properly.
Of course, I did a quick Google search about Chia Cafe Abuja and I saw mixed reviews – some people liked the ambience, food, and healthy menu while some complained about waiting for too long and mistakes with their orders but my own experience was different and I can only tell you what happened during my own visit.
Is Chia Cafe Abuja expensive?
Now price wise, Chia Cafe is on the pricey side and this is not where you will come when you are looking for the cheapest breakfast you can find in Abuja but then, you are also paying for the location, the ambience, the service, and of course the entire cafe experience.
I will not give you fixed prices because menus can change and then you will come back to ask me why the price is different but go with a reasonable budget especially if you plan to order both food and a drink.
Who should visit Chia Cafe?
Chia Cafe is one of the cafes in Wuse 2 that works for different kinds of outings and you can have it as one of your brunch spots in Abuja, coffee date spots in Abuja, or even one of your solo date ideas in Abuja if you are like me and you do not have a problem sitting alone.
If you are a content creator, you will love this location because it is beautiful and you can get your photos, eat your food, and still enjoy the calm environment without having to do too much.
My Chia Cafe Abuja review
After the food, the drink, the ambience, and the customer service, my overall experience at Chia Cafe is a 9/10 and the egg and avocado toast was a proper 10/10 for me while the Morning Kick drink that I would not normally order also surprised me.
Would I visit again? Of course, because some days you just want good food, a cup of coffee, and enough time to sit with yourself and your thought and if I do not take myself out, who will?
